SMU Women's Rugby Team

Women on Southern Methodist University's campus have been recruiting for a women's rugby team for the past three years. The school already has a men's team, but as women's rugby gains popularity, the women are looking to even the playing field. Coach Luisa Alexandria and women on campus have been tabeling around SMU and promoting the sport on social media. The team hopes to get enough members in the next two years to be officially considered a club by SMU. The rugby coaches are hoping that as we move out of the Covid-19 pandemic membership will grow as students come back to campus and want to be involved.
